John Ward
Managing Director

 John has been in the property industry since 2006 and worked for managing agents for five years and then developers for a further five years before setting up his own lease & management consultancy company.

John is a member of the Institute of Residential Property Management. He has considerable experience in setting up service charge and management strategies; dealing with Combined Heat & Power & District Heat Network systems and dealing with historic issues. He has experience in managing large mixed used developments and undertaking Leasehold Valuation Tribunal cases.

John regards one of his greatest achievements as raising £25,000 for charity by organising a touch sevens rugby tournament and away from work, lives in NW London with his wife and enjoys cooking,  attending the theatre and cinema, visiting historic site and travelling with his favourite destination being Italy.

Approachable, ambitious and sociable, John is looking forward to growing Horizon into an organisation with national coverage through providing first class service and helping clients achieve their goals.

Damien Finnegan BSc (Hons) MRICS

Planning & Development Director

Damien is a Chartered Building Surveyor with over twenty years successfully operating in the property sector, primarily in site appraisal, design and planning and project and property management. During this time, Damien has gained considerable knowledge, expertise and experience in successfully handling a wide variety of projects throughout London and the South East.

His main area of expertise is in maximising property value through the planning process, something he describes as “creative property development”.

His key aim for Horizon is to help clients gain and maximise value from their assets through creating amazing spaces for people to live and work.

Damien has many, what he describes as, mini achievements, in business and in life but his greatest achievements have revolved around having a wonderful family and family life with his wife and three young boys.

Away from business, Damien likes to keep fit and healthy and enjoys a variety of endurance and training activities. He is also a fan of “modern” classics (he loves his cars!). As if to prove he is never completely away from business he loves what he does so much that he also lists “creating creative property strategies” as a hobby! He lives and breathes property and simply loves what he does!

Stephen Day

Technical & Construction Director 

Stephen has been working in the construction and property maintenance industry for over twenty years and set up his own business in 2007.

He has successfully worked on a vast array of different buildings and estates, each with their own specific sets of challenges and requirements.

Stephen possesses an extensive knowledge of what is required when it comes to working with managing agents on construction and maintenance services.

Stephen regards his greatest achievements to date as building his business from scratch and on having a wonderful family to support and be supported by.

His ambitions for Horizon are to build a successful business and to help deliver greater value to clients.

Away from business, Stephen enjoys spending time with his wife and children, socialising with friends, walking the dog. He also enjoys cycling, plays tennis and competes in triathlons!

His secret claim to fame is that he is an ex international pole vaulter. High walls and fences are no barrier to Stephen!
